PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Velvet Lounge is a cocktail bar and dining concept in Bandra West, Mumbai. The brief was atmospheric — our client wanted a space that felt like entering a private member's club. We worked with deep emerald green velvet, hammered copper surfaces, custom hand-blown glass pendants, and a bespoke back bar crafted from aged mahogany and antique mirror. The lighting was designed with a single luminance level: low and deliberate.

DESIGN NOTES
Every light fitting in The Velvet Lounge was specified after the luminance plan was complete — not before. We started with the effect we wanted at table level and worked backwards to the fitting and the circuit. The result is a space where no one ever reaches for their phone to check the time.
